Invitation to Join the17th National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on EnergySaving and Emission Reduction (Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and InternationalGroup)
Dear Students,
We''re thrilled to announce the 17th National UniversityStudent Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving and EmissionReduction, encompassing participants from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and theInternational Group. This prestigious event will take place online in Augustthis year, hosted by China University of Petroleum (East China). Since itsinception in 2008, this competition has been a cornerstone in China, dedicatedto promoting energy conservation and emission reduction while providing aplatform for university students to showcase their talents.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Full-time undergraduate and graduate students areeligible to participate.
2. Teams should consist of no more than 7 students and2 supervisors.
3. Each team must have a team leader from Hong Kong,Macao, Taiwan, or foreign universities (valid student ID and supportingdocuments required). Other team members and instructors may be of anynationality. Undergraduate, graduate, and junior college students are allencouraged to register.
Prize Categories (Finalized based on the number ofprojects):
1. Gold Award: Cash prize and certificate for eachrecipient.
2. Silver Award: Cash prize and certificate for eachrecipient.
3. Bronze Award: Cash prize and certificate for eachrecipient.
4. Excellence Award: Certificate for each recipient.
Separate prize categories are designated forparticipants from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and the International Group. Awardcertificates will list all participating universities of the winning team.Additionally, certificates will be issued in English and bear the official sealconsistent with the main track.
Application Guidelines:
1. Entries can be a real product or conceptual schemerelated to energy saving and emission reduction. Application documents shouldbe in English.
2. Submit the application form to jnjp_17@vip.163.comby June 1st, 2024. Send the application documents, including the report,optional video, and other supporting materials, to the same email address byJune 20th, 2024.
3. Shortlisted entries will be announced in July 2024,with the final competition (an online PPT presentation) scheduled for August2024.
4. Entries in the main track cannot be submitted to theHong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and International tracks.
5. Entries not selected for the national competition inthe main track can collaborate with universities in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan,or other international institutions and register for the international track,provided they meet the registration requirements.
6. Students from joint programs between Chinese andforeign institutions or between mainland China and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan,etc., can register for the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and international tracksunder the name of their foreign institution.
